It has been awhile since my last post. The end of summer to be exact. It was still warm out, my garden still had growing herbs and the day was still bright at 5pm. But, that’s all changed now. It’s December and the weatherman said our temps were going to be hanging around in the teens today. Oh, well! That’s life in Michigan.
Good things have happened since I was last here! Our family celebrated the 90th birthday of my grandmother who is healthy, active and still getting around under her steam. A good friend and I finally got together and kept a promised lunch date, and last, but not least, I successfully graduated from a class sponsored by Michigan State University’s extension. The Fasttrac New Venture course was a very good investment of money and time. The course provided a practical, step-by-step guide on how to write a business plan. Our facilitators, Mr. Ribbron and Ms. Stephan were excellent. Speaking for myself, and I’m sure everyone else, they never left us to feel like we should give up, or that our ideas had no merit. They were supportive, honest, and to the point without being unkind. Their believe in us and their guidance continues to help me stay on the path! The course was one of the best classes I ever attended.
Education is something that can be exciting and life changing. The love for it should begin when we are young, but I’m certainly convinced that we grow to appreciate and understand its value more as we get older. The right class or program can position you for that long-awaited promotion or open doors to new and different horizons.
Below are some grant opportunities that may open new doors for you or someone you love!
